First GMM
for Year 2002 A Rousing Success
EIAPI's first
major activity for the year was by all indications a success.
Our guest speaker and inducting officer was Usec Fortunato
dela Pena, representing Secretary Estrella Alabastro of the
DOST. Usec Dela Pena talked lengthily on the DOST's plans
and programs relating to SME's in electronics, a topic very
close to the hearts of EIAPI members. Also present were Atty.
Emma Francisco, Director General of the Intellectual Property
Office, as well as key people from the Department of Trade
and Industry.
During the affair,
our president made a documentary presentation on the association's
history, vision and members' capabilities. Copies of the documentary
were distributed to members and guests.
The entire EIAPI
board actively participated in the preparation and conduct
of the GMM, with the very able administrative support from
the EIAPI Secretariat.
